Our 22-day Epos Travel private tour of Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, Peloponnese, Delphi, Meteora & Aegina was fabulous! George tailored our itinerary to our interests: history, culture, food & flora/fauna. Every minute was an orgy of glorious sites, sights, info, culture & cuisine.

George & his son, Dionysis, are passionate & knowledgeable about Greece’s history & mythology. We saw dozens of amazing archeological, historical & mythological sites and museums — from the well-known (Knossos, Corinth, Epidaurus, etc.) to those I had not been aware of (e.g., Akrotiki, Palamidi, Mystras, Monemvasia, Gate to Hades & Mega Spilaio). And many, many more.

Dionysis is an impressively skilled & safe driver, especially on the many narrow cliff-side lanes.

Our lodgings were superb: Good size, stunning views, friendly operators, delicious breakfasts. Our meals were at restaurants & tavernas that George knew to be excellent. (Our favorite Greek tradition: “When you’re offered Raki/Tsipouro, you cannot refuse!”)

On Aegina, we stayed at a cottage behind the home of George’s wife, Argiro. The season’s first downpour cancelled our tours; but we had instead two days of cooking lessons with Argiro. What a treat!

We learned a lot about olives & olive oil, Malvasia wine and encountered many dishes new to us: e.g., sfakian pies, chorta, skordalia, spoon sweet & bougatsa etc.

We’d thought 22 days would be plenty, but now we want to return to spend even more time at each of the amazing places we visited.’
